What Causes Gluten Intolerance? There are no pinpointed and known causes for this intolerance, however it can be hereditary, due to stress or various other reasons being researched, but it is established that it gradually develops from a low level of tolerance on consuming products containing gluten; the protein found in Wheat, Barley and Rye and eventually develops into total intolerance. Though there is enormous text on the limited research on this disease, common symptoms after consuming products containing gluten, include: Diagnosis There are laboratory tests that your physician shall advise to clinically determine whether or not you suffer from this disease. Home testing kits are also available, but you are yet advised to visit your physician for proper guidance. Also, please be sure to visit your physician before going on a Gluten free diet, or else you will automatically test negative due to the absence of the antibodies you are being tested for. Treatment There is no medical treatment available for this disease yet, but the good news is, there is a solution! A GLUTEN-FREE DIET! Individuals suffering from this disease are required to avoid all products containing gluten or traces of wheat/gluten for life, and substitutes their meals with Gluten Free products. Gluten Free Living All it takes is a slight change in your daily diet, and you are living a comfortable life again! You will have to switch from products made from Wheat, Barley and Rye, to products made from other grains that do not contain gluten. You must read labels of all packaged products carefully to ensure it is safe for your consumption. What Not to Eat
